Manchester United Boss Jose Mourinho Says Antonio Valencia Was Sent Off After He Refused To Take Him Off For A Bad Tackle In Real Salt Lake Win

Jose Mourinho revealed that Antonio Valencia was sent off because he refused a request from the referee to take him off in Manchester United's win over Real Salt Lake.
Valencia took retribution on Real player Sebastian Saucedo whose challenge on Juan Mata forced the Spaniard out of the game. Mata is set to be out for a week with a swollen ankle while Saucedo left the stadium on crutches.
Valencia floored him with a scything challenge but stayed on the pitch for more than two minutes while Saucedo received treatment and MLS referee Allen Chapman asked Mourinho to replace the Ecuador defender.
