Chelsea are ready to offer around £70million for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata after losing out in the battle to sign Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper AS claims
Blues boss Antonio Conte is a huge admirer of Morata, who scored 20
goals in all competitions last season as Madrid won the Champions League and La Liga.
Morata
is unhappy with his limited first-team opportunities under Zinedine
Zidane, having spent much of last season as back-up for Karim Benzema,
and the 24-year-old is keen to push through a move to Stamford Bridge.
