Zlatan Ibrahimovic - ever the egotist - has compared himself to 'King Kong' in his latest Instagram post, which suggests he thinks his rehabilitation is going well.
Ibrahimovic referred to himself as the 'King' as he posed next to a picture of the fictional behemoth ape.
The 35-year-old has been out of action since April when he suffered cruciate knee ligament damage in Manchester United's 2-1 win over Anderlecht.
But
that hasn't prevented Ibrahimovic from staying in shape, as evidenced
by his latest post, showing him flexing his muscles while wearing
nothing but a pair of white boxer shorts.
The iconic striker is currently a free
agent after United decided against renewing his £367,000-a-week contract
at the end of last season.
United
could not commit to a new deal as Ibrahimovic is set to remain
sidelined until early 2018, but the 35-year-old has continued training
with the Red Devils.
And it seems his
non-footballing fitness work is going well, judging by the Instagram
post he shared with his 26.5million followers on Thursday.

The striker

in January and, at the end of the season, reiterated his desire to
leave.

Jurgen Klopp hints at first-choice left-back role for “outstanding” Andrew Robertson
Jurgen Klopp hints at first-choice left-back role for “outstanding” Andrew Robertson
Jurgen Klopp has hailed Liverpool’s third signing of the summer, Andrew Robertson, and suggested the Scot could serve as his first-choice left-back.

The Reds confirmed Robertson’s arrival in a deal worth up to £10 million on Friday, with the 23-year-old signing a long-term contract.
Robertson has made a significant step up from relegated Hull City, and before that Dundee United, but proved during his time in the Premier League that he is capable of shining.
With converted midfielder James Milner operating as Klopp’s starting left-back last season, and Alberto Moreno expected to leave this summer, Robertson could arrive as Liverpool’s new first choice.
And speaking on Robertson’s move to Merseyside, Klopp hinted that this could well be the case, saying Milner “can play most positions on the football pitch.”
“This addition gives us fantastic competition in the left full-back position now,” he told LiverpoolFC.com.
“Obviously, James Milner did very well for us last season there and can play most positions on the football pitch.
“Alberto Moreno looks really good in pre-season and we have Jon Flanagan back, who can play left or right full-back.
“This signing strengthens us at full-back and I’m really pleased about this.”

Robertson is a natural left-back, who was one of Marco Silva’s standout stars at Hull last season, and, crucially, is also left-footed.
While Milner certainly proved adept at the role in 2016/17, Klopp’s words suggest he could be used in a utility role in the upcoming campaign, with Liverpool fighting on four fronts.
Whether Robertson makes the transition immediately, after joining midway through pre-season, remains to be seen, but Klopp believes he has acquired a young player able to progress at Anfield.
“For Andrew this is another big step on what has been a quite incredible personal journey in a very short space of time,” he added.
“I love his story; where he has come from professionally to reach this point.
“When you speak to him it is clear why he makes his progress. He has a burning love for playing football—he really loves the game.
“His attitude is outstanding, absolutely outstanding. His talent and skills—also very, very good.
“He has experience of this competition, the Premier League, and he has the mentality and quality to get even better.
“I know our environment will benefit him and help him push himself even more than he has already. This is a player who does not limit his ambition, I think.”
Robertson is likely to make his first appearance for Liverpool during the pre-season tour of Germany, potentially against Hertha Berlin on July 29.
“Stellar business”, “Very, very decent” – Fans welcome Andrew Robertson to Liverpool
“Stellar business”, “Very, very decent” – Fans welcome Andrew Robertson to Liverpool
Liverpool’s most unassuming signing of the summer, Andrew Robertson’s £8 million move to Merseyside has largely been welcomed by supporters.

The Reds announced Robertson’s arrival on Friday afternoon, with the 23-year-old making the switch from recently relegated Hull City and Kevin Stewart going the other way.
Robertson will wear the No. 26 shirt, and will link up with his new team-mates on their return to Melwood at the start of next week, as pre-season continues.
While names such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita have hogged the headlines this summer, Robertson’s move to Anfield represents shrewd business by the Reds.
And as the Scotland international put pen to paper, this was reflected by fans on social media.

Neymar To Paris Saint-Germain: Inside Story Behind
£196m Deal That Would Stun The World As Barcelona Grow Tired Of
Brazilian's Playboy Lifestyle
Neymar has played for Barcelona since 2013 but could now be set for a huge move to PSG
I don't think that will
happen,' said Barcelona's technical secretary Robert Fernandez on Monday
when asked if a club would meet Neymar's €222million (£196m) buy-out
clause.
- Barcelona star Neymar could be set for a £196m move to Paris Saint-Germain
- The Brazilian is unlikely to get out of the shadow of Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp
- Club angered by Neymar's nights out with Lewis Hamilton and Justin Bieber
- They fear he could go way of Ronaldinho, whose social life cut his career short
- Barcelona could use the £196m fee to chase Marco Verratti and Kylian Mbappe
It will be the most stunning European
football transfer since Real Madrid snatched Luis Figo back in 2000, and
once again Barcelona will be the victims.
Neymar,
poised to step out of the shadow of Lionel Messi and into the spotlight
at the Parc des Princes, was the player the Catalans boasted about
beating the rest of Europe to in 2013.
But they are on the brink of losing him after only four years, for a fee that will smash the existing transfer record.
If that was throwing down the
gauntlet to PSG chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi he seems increasingly
convinced that accepting the challenge is what it will take to make the
French side Champions League winners.
