  • Golden State Warriors face Cleveland Cavaliers in the third straight NBA final
  • The seven-match series pits Stephen Curry against LeBron James
  • The duo will make hundreds of millions from sponsors for the rest of their lives
For the third straight season the two superpowers of each Conference, Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, will clash in the seven-match NBA Finals.
Golden State won in 2015, before surrendering a 3-1 lead last year to allow the Cavaliers to emerge victorious. They will be fuelled by a desire for revenge this time around.
But it is a battle within the war that ignites anticipation across the globe and entices businessmen to part with millions. Two men from Ohio on opposing teams, Stephen Curry of Golden State and LeBron James of the Cavaliers, will again have the biggest influence on who triumphs.Curry will take on Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James in the NBA Finals
These two are possibly the most influential present-day athletes over business in sport. Curry's move from one sportswear sponsor to another has possibly doubled the worth of a company already valued in the billions, while James has earned almost as much as Beyonce and has agreements in place worth half a billion dollars.

STEPHEN CURRY - GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Arguably the most outrageous tale regarding sponsorship across any sport involves Curry and his switch from Nike to Under Armour after the 2013 season ended.
Curry had enjoyed a superb campaign. In a 109-105 defeat by the New York Knicks, he scored a career high 54 points which included 11 three-pointers. He ended a season which started with questions about long-term fitness with an average of 22.9 points a game from 78 starts.
Curry was already with Nike and had been for years. They had first option on extending a deal. Curry's godfather even worked for them. Negotiations seemed a formality.

After his finest season to date in 2013, Curry left Nike and signed a deal with Under Armour
